Clear Aligners
For an easy, comfortable, and efficient way to straighten mildly misaligned teeth, we recommend clear aligner braces. These aligners look similar to a mouth guard, but that’s where the similarity ends.
Treatment with clear aligners is relatively simple. Dr. Riley will evaluate your condition and work on developing a plan that outlines in detail each phase of your treatment. This information is sent to a special lab where your custom aligners will be created.
Next, you’ll return to our office to be fitted with a set of upper and lower clear aligners. The aligners are customized according to our specifications and apply steady pressure to gently move your teeth into alignment.
You will also receive a series of aligners designed to progressively move your teeth into proper position. Wear each set for about two weeks, then move to the next set in the series. Progress is continual, and you will notice the difference each time you move from one set of aligners to the next.
Six Month Smiles
Six Month Smiles clear braces work in much the same way as traditional braces, with one major difference. Adults who have slightly crowded or crooked teeth don’t usually have issues with their dental bite that need to be corrected. Treatment with Six Month Smiles is efficient because it's not intended to alter your dental bite, just straighten the teeth that are visible when you smile. Six Month Smiles works with clear brackets and tooth-colored wires, so your appearance won’t be heavily affected during treatment.
Since treatment times with Six Month Smiles are so fast, they are usually more affordable than other types of braces. Dr. Riley has worked with many patients who have achieved their desired results in about four to nine months. The average treatment time is about six months.
