Financial Info

It is important to receive dental care in a timely manner. We don't ever want you to have to avoid or postpone a procedure because you're worried about how you'll manage to fit it into your budget.

At Azalea Dental, we offer several options for making your dental care accessible and affordable.

Insurance

We accept Delta Dental and MetLife, but we are happy to file ALL dental insurances except Medicaid and Alfac free of charge. Please note that your dental insurance policy is a contract between you and your insurance carrier and that you are responsible for any balance that your insurance does not cover. Our office will be happy to answer any of your insurance questions. While we cannot make any guarantees of coverage, our Summerville dentist will work with you to maximize your benefits. Please contact our office if you have questions about your specific insurance, and a knowledgeable member of our team will be happy to help you find the answers you need.

CareCredit

CareCredit is a convenient financing option that allows our patients to make affordable monthly payments over time. You can use CareCredit to cover the cost of copayments, deductibles, and procedures not covered by your insurance.

Applying for either takes just three easy steps, including instant approval. Once you’re approved, you can use CareCredit for services such as dentistry, hearing aids, LASIK, cosmetic, veterinary, and more. Please contact us for more information.

In-House Discount Savings Plan

Our In-House Discount Savings Plan is not an insurance plan. Simply pay an annual fee for an individual and you will receive 100% off of services like diagnostics, x-rays, and cleanings as well as discounts on many other services.

Unlike most insurance plans, our savings plan has no yearly maximums, no deductibles, no pre-authorization requirement, and no limitations for pre-existing conditions. Discounts on other services vary, so please contact our office for more information about this exclusive plan.

Prepayment Plan

Our Pre-Payment Plan is similar to a layaway program. We'll record your credit card information and you can prepay over several months prior to having the service completed vs. one lump sum at the time of treatment.

Other Methods of Payment

We are pleased to accept cash, personal checks, MasterCard, Visa, Discover, and American Express.

You may use the virtual payment portal featured below as well.

Frequently Asked Questions

A root canal is needed when decay or trauma has reached the innermost portion of your tooth. This is the part of the tooth that houses nerves, pulp, and tissue and helps keep your tooth alive and healthy. When a deep cavity or severe gum disease penetrates this inner part of your tooth, the first thing you will probably notice is pain that does not go away.

Once the infection or damage has reached this stage, a root canal is the only treatment option left to provide you with relief. If we don’t perform a root canal, the tooth may need to be extracted or the pain will just continue to worsen.

In spite of what you’ve probably heard, you don’t have anything to worry about with a root canal. People commonly make the mistake of thinking that the pain (a symptom of the problem) is related to the procedure itself. However, as soon as Dr. Riley numbs the area, you will experience immediate relief. Root canal procedures don’t cause pain—they relieve it!

During the procedure, we’ll use specially designed instruments that gently and comfortably remove all signs of infection. Since a compromised tooth needs protection, in most cases we will recommend a dental crown be placed after your root canal treatment.
